The 25-years-old Blair graduated from Brentwood Christian School, Texas. From high school, Blair began playing volleyball, performing as the Most Valuable Player in various tournaments.

The 6-feet-3-inch (190 cm) tall Westerlund then attended the University of Texas at Austin. She continued playing volleyball as a middle blocker representing the University’s women’s volleyball team.
