The Bachelor In Paradise Casts Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian Split In 2022?
You might have heard about the reality show Bachelor In Paradise (BIP). Today we will talk about BIP’s contestants Riley Christian and Maurissa Gunn‘s failed romantic life. Christian and Gunn are the ones who created history by sharing an engagement ring on the show.
Not only a reality star, but Riley is also an attorney by profession. Whereas Maurissa also works as Patient Care Coordinator at Panacea Plastic Surgery. Now, let’s dig into Riley and Maurissa’s relationship history. Why did the duo partition their relationship?
Riley Christian And Maurissa Gunn’s First Met As Contestants
The reality stars Riley and Maurissa first met in August 2021 as a contestant of the seventh season of the elimination-style reality series Bachelor In Paradise. Christian came from The Bachelorette’s 16th season, and Gunn came from The Bachelor’s 24th season.
After the first meeting in the show, the duo shared a good bond and eventually began dating. Explaining her date with Riley, Marissa on the ‘Bachelor Happy Hour‘ podcast said, “We got back to the beach, and we wanted to continue our conversation. So, as two consenting adults, we went into the boom-boom room together, which is fine.”
The Engagement That Created History
After the romantic union, at the end of the season in October 2021, Riley and Maurissa got engaged. The other two couples (participants) also engaged. Gunn and Christian were the first black couple in BIP to get engaged. By doing so, they created history.
After the engagement, the pair came out of the show and began living a real life. During an interview with People, Riley and Maurissa said, “they were looking forward to doing regular everyday activities together. They also said they hadn’t gotten “that far” into wedding planning.”
The End Of Beautiful Bond
Everything was going fine. Riley and his fiancee Maurissa shared a good bond as perfect partners from the day of engagement. However, in January 2022, the couple ended their relationship.
After the weeks of their separation rumors, Riley and Maurissa confirmed their split via a joint statement to People. They stated, “We have decided to go our separate ways. Never did we imagine this, but we’ve come to a point where we both need to work on ourselves.”
